Cairo Reported Seeking U.N. Security Council Meeting

The United Arab Republic was reported here this morning to have sent a request directly from Cairo for a meeting of the Security Council on the complaint of alleged Israeli “aggression” in the Lake Huleh region along the Syrian border.

Simultaneously, the UAR delegation at the United Nations today took its complaint to Henry Cabot Lodge, Jr., the American delegate and this months president of the Council, Mr. Lodge is understood to have asked the delegation not to submit a request for a meeting of the Security Council today.
