Over 200 colleges, graduate, and professional schools offering courses in Hebrew and Hebrew texts are listed in “Hebrew in Colleges and Universities,” a new reference work published today. The volume was edited by Judah Lapson, chairman of the Hebrew Culture Service Committee for American High Schools and Colleges.

“Hebrew in Colleges and Universities” was prepared at the request of guidance counselors in American high schools. It presents state by state all institutions of higher learning offering courses in Hebrew and Hebrew texts. In an informative introduction the editor discusses Hebrew as a modern language and reviews the vocational and professional opportunities offered by Hebrew study.
