The Jewish cemetery in Bueren, Westphalia, was desecrated this week-end and numerous headstones were overturned. Police asserted today that the affair was merely a “rude adolescent prank” and had no anti-Semitic implications.

With no Jews in the town, the cemetery has been cared for by local high school students during the past two years.
