American Friends of Hebrew University Elects Lehman Council Head

Former Senator Herbert H. Lehman has been elected chairman of the National Council of the American Friends of the Hebrew University, it was announced today.

The Council is composed of 122 prominent men and women who guide and advise on major policy matters affecting the Jerusalem university nationally and in their respective communities. The American Friends is conducting a campaign to raise $10,000,000 to complete the construction of Hebrew University’s new campus facilities at Givat Ram.
