Communists Demonstrate in Front of U.S. Embassy in Israel; Three Injured

Three persons were injured and 13 arrested here last night during a Communist demonstration in front of the American Embassy.

Strong detachments of Israeli police cordoned off the Embassy and ordered the 100 Communists to disperse. When they refused, the police charged and scattered them. The thirteen leaders arrested included the daughter of Dr. Moshe Sneh, Communist deputy in Knesset. The Communists shouted: “Away with the American warmongers.”

In Nazareth, the all-Arab town, Communists held a meeting to celebrate the Iraqi army coup of last seek. Communist propaganda, exploiting the Iraqi development and subsequent American and British action in the Middle East, has stepped up an intensity in the Arab villages of northern Israel.
