Dorothy Thompson, considered the leading anti-Zionist among America’s journalists, discontinued her newspaper column which has appeared in 150 newspapers and was distributed by the Bell syndicate.

A leader of the anti-Israel propaganda front known as “American Friends of the Middle East,” she frequently attacked the State of Israel and propagandized against Zionism in her column. She said she discontinued the column because of the death of her husband, Maxim Kopf, whom she married in 1943.
