Noted Indian Socialist Differs with Nehru Stand on Israel

An outstanding Indian Socialist and land reform leader, J. P. Narayan, said here today that while he understood the difficulties facing Premier Jawaharlal Nehru in his Middle East policies, he could not agree with his attitude to Israel, to which he has refused to extend diplomatic relations.

Mr. Narayan, who is visiting Israel and meeting leaders of the country, said the day was not far off when Indian-Israel relations would be established.
