The French Government will institute legal action against the weekly newspaper “Dimanche Matin” which a year ago published anti-Semitic articles, it was revealed here today.

A complaint was subsequently filed by the Movement Against Racism and for Peace and was under consideration by an investigating magistrate who, according to the complainant, has now recommended prosecution of Dimanche Matin. Proceedings will begin under the French law known as the Marchandeau Decree which forbids defamation of members of an ethnic or racial group.
