Charles I. Schottland, United States Commissioner of Social Security announced his resignation this week-end to accept the post of Dean of the Brandeis University Graduate School of Advanced Studies in Social Welfare which will open in September, 1959. A well known expert in welfare problems, Mr. Schottland is president-elect of the National Conference of Social Work for 1959-60.
