530 Physicians Arrived in Israel During Two Years; Many Emigrated from Poland

Some 530 physicians arrived to settle in Israel in the past two years, the Ministry of Health disclosed today. More than 450 of the newcomers were from Eastern European countries, with Poland having supplied 350 of the doctors.

The Jewish Agency announced here today that a new immigration transit camp has been established in Greece. The camp is needed, according to the Agency, for facilitating the handling of a new wave of immigrants bound for Israel, especially from Eastern Europe.
