Pinhas Lavon, secretary-general of Histadrut, the Israel Federation of Labor, today lodged a complaint with Prime Minister David Ben Gurion against Chief Rabbi Itzhak Nissim, whom he charged with “insulting” the Histadrut’s chief chaplain, Rabbi Brandwein.
