The Central Council of Jews in Germany withdrew this week-end its charges of slander against the newspaper “8-Uhr Blatt” for publishing a fraudulent Jewish ritual murder story.

The Central Council’s action followed disclosure that the newspaper had discharged the editor and the writer of the article and, further, had made a voluntary contribution of 3, 000 marks (approximately $750) to the Bavarian Red Cross in restitution for publication of the article.
