Premier David Ben Gurion today toured the Negev settlements where new immigrants from Rumania have been absorbed and spoke with them about their past life and how they were finding the adjustment in Israel.

The immigrants told the Premier that they believed there were still 180, 000 Jews left in Rumania. They spoke of signs of anti-Semitism which recently appeared in Rumania. They explained the relatively small number of Jews in their families by noting that economic conditions in Rumania had been difficult.
