Two hundred Bronx Jewish leaders invested $240,000 in Israel bonds last night at a dinner in honor of Abba Eban, Israel’s Ambassador to the United States. The proceeds will be used to build 80 housing units for newcomers to Israel. Twenty synagogues in the Bronx participated in the salute to Mr. Eban.
