Eight international Jewish organisations have become affiliated” with the International Committee for the World Refugee Year, bringing to 50 the total number of voluntary agencies and non-governmental organizations united to promots the aims of World Refugee Year.
Charles Jordan, European director-general of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee and co-chairman of the executive body of the committee, said to say that this was the largest number of agencies ever mobilized behind a single effort in behalf of refugees.
