Israel Sieff president of the British Zionist Federation. addressing the Industrial and Commercial Club here last night, once more suggested that Israel seek the possibility of joining the British Commonwealth. Mr. Sieff, who expressed that view recently in London, declared that both Britain and Israel would benefit from Israel’s membership in the Commonwealth. Britain, he said, would find Israel serving as a bridge to Asia and Africa, and as a base for development in the Middle East. Israel, on the other hand, he held, would increase its economic development through membership in the Commonwealth, and would remove itself from political isolation.
