Both legislative houses in New Jersey today passed a Sunday closing bill. The controversial measure passed the democratic ruled assembly with only three votes to spare and the Senate with none extra. Governor Meyner has given his broad approval to the idea of Sunday closing and is expected to sign the measure into law. The bill has no provision for those who regularly observe another day of religious rest.
