A total of 13, 150 boys and girls are now living in Youth Aliya institutions in Israel. Of these, 39 percent are from Sephardic background, 24 percent are from North Africa, while the remainder are from families with European background. These figures were announced here today by Moshe Kol, head of the Jewish Agency’s youth immigration department.

Since the department was established, Mr. Kol said, it has given education and training to more than 100, 000 youths. Most of the graduates of these special institutions, he declared, have been absorbed in agriculture and in other vital branches of Israeli economy.
