Jewish immigration into Canada during the first half of 1959 is holding its own, in spite of 10 percent decline in total immigration into the country, according to the government’s quarterly immigration bulletin, issued here.
During the last three months, 842 Jews came into the country bringing the half-year total to 1,166, as compared to 1,146 during the first six months of 1958. About half of these immigrants are from Israel, numbering 549 for the last half year.
