The central office of the Arab League boycott council, which supervises economic boycott activities against Israel, has announced at its headquarters at Beirut that Japanese automobiles and spare parts have been added to the blacklist, according to a dispatch received here today from Beirut.
The council’s order forbids, specifically, the import into any Arab country of cars and parts manufactured by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Reorganized, of Tokyo. The reason given is that Mitsubishi has allegedly “violated the Arab boycott of Israel,” presumably by trading with Israel.
