Yeshiva University Gets $40,000 for Research in Mental Health

The department of psychology at Yeshiva University’s Graduate School of Education announced today receipt of a grant of $40,000 from the National Institute of Mental Health for continuation of a research program in learning and memory.

Dr. Irvin Rock, chairman of the department, said that the grant would permit continuation of the research for another 27 months. He said the experiments seemed to indicate that the effectiveness of learning by drill was open to question.
