Israeli Minister Yaacov Herzog met today with Parker T. Hart, Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, for a lengthy talk that is believed to have covered the Suez Canal issue. Mr. Herzog met also with Francis O. Wilcox, Assistant Secretary of State for United Nations Affairs. It is believed that the United States favors a continuation of the so-called quiet diplomacy pursued by U N Secretary General Dag Hammarskjold.
