Premier Kassem of Iraq spoke yesterday for the third time this month about his hopes to “liberate Palestine” and promised Palestinian Arabs arms, men and money to help them, according to press reports from Baghdad.
Speaking at a military function held to celebrate his recovery from an assassination attempt, the Premier accused the United Nations of oppression in deciding the “destiny of the Palestinians and dividing their land without consulting them.” He appealed to other Arab countries to endorse his proposal for a “Palestine Republic.”
