Paris Consistory Seeks Funds to Aid Jewish Refugees from North Africa

The Paris Consistory launched a campaign today for 150, 000, 000 francs ($300, 000) to help cover the spiritual and cultural needs of the Jewish refugees from North Africa who have arrived in France in considerable numbers in the past five years. The Jewish refugees from Egypt and the Jews who have left Algeria. Tunisia and Morocco have created a number of small new Jewish communities in Paris and its suburbs.
