Funeral services were held here for Melech Grafstein, a noted Yiddish literary figure and leader in the Canadian Labor Zionist movement, who died in Miami after a lengthy illness.

Born in Poland, Mr. Grafstein was a director in the Yiddish theatre after he settled in Canada. Among the Yiddish works published by Mr. Grafstein were “Shalom Aleichem Panorama” and an anniversary volume of the works of J. L. Perez. He was active in the Histadrut campaign in Canada and in the field of Jewish education.
