Dr. Theodor Oberlaender, West German Minister for Refugees, denied today reports that he had been urged to resign by the Honor Tribunal set up by Chancellor Konrad Adenauer’s Christian Democratic party to investigate his Nazi past.

Dr. Oberlaender, who has been under fire for months on charges that he participated in the massacre of Jews in Lemberg in then Nazi-held Poland during World War II, asserted that he had been “made a mass murderer while I was a Minister. I demand as a Minister to be fully rehabilitated. “

Leaders of the Christian Democratic party, of which Dr. Oberlaender is a member, reportedly have urged him to resign without delay because his continued presence in the Government might embarrass Chancellor Adenauer during the latter’s current visit to the United States.
