A pledge of $1, 000, 000 to help rebuild the Library of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem was subscribed today by representatives of the National Women’s Division, American Friends of the Hebrew University, at the conclusion here of their week-long Founding Conference. Mrs. Louis S. Gimbel, Jr., New York communal leader, was elected national president of the women’s organization.
