Secretary General Dag Hammarskjold said today that he and Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion had held “a dialogue in the philosophic and human sense” when they met here two weeks ago. He made that statement in reply to a question at a news conference here, adding that he agreed with a statement made by Mr,Ben-Gurion in which he said: “We had a friendly and frank exchange regarding our differences of opinion.”

Mr. Hammarskjold was also asked whether there was likely to be any progress in the near future toward release of the Greek freighter, the Astypalea, which the United Arab Republic has detained at Port Said since last December 17. He replied that “I have nothing new on this to tell you”
