Repeats Request to Soviet Envoy for Meeting with Khrushchev

Michael Bodrov, the Soviet Ambassador to Israel, confirmed today that Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion had asked the envoy’s help in arranging a meeting with Soviet Premier Khrushchev.

The confirmation came in remarks by the Soviet envoy as he prepared to return to Russia for several weeks home leave. When the envoy greeted Mr, Ben-Gurion on the latter’s arrival, the Prime Minister told the envoy that his request was to meet the Soviet Premier “when and where he would like” still stood. The envoy promised a reply when he returned from his home leave but said he could not promise a positive reply.
