The Board of Deputies of British Jews has sent a communication to the West German Government requesting the Bonn Government to grant compensation to Rumanian Jews who were persecuted by the Nazis, Barnett Janner president of the Board, announced here today.

According to Mr. Janner, “there is a volume of evidence to substantiate the claim that the German Nazis instigated the persecutions against the Jews in Rumania.”

Thus far, Bonn has declined to honor the claims on behalf of Rumanian Jewish victims of Nazism. Mr. Janner said that the board has sent its request to Bonn through the German Ambassador here.
