The martyrdom of the 6,000,000 Jews during the Nazi holocaust and the 17th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto uprising were commemorated here last night at a rally sponsored by Stockholm’s Jewish organizations. Gunnar Josephson, president of the Stockholm Jewish community and other Jewish communal leaders addressed the gathering. Cantor Leo Rosenblueth recited the El Molei Rachamim memorial prayer.
A similar rally sponsored last week by the Institute of Jewish Cultural Information was addressed by the Polish Ambassador Anton Szymanowski and by Olof Lagercrantz chief editor of Dagens Nyheter, the country’s largest daily.
