School Named After Anne Frank Opened by Jewish Women in Mexico

Representatives of the Ministry of Education, senior Government officials and representatives of leading Jewish organizations attended the dedication ceremonies today of the Anne Frank School, which was built with the aid of funds contributed by the Women’s Division of the Central Jewish Committee. The school, which was equipped by the women’s group, can accommodate 300 pupils.

Israel’s new Ambassador to Mexico, Mordechai Schneerson, arrived here today to take up his duties. He was met at the airport by representatives of the Foreign Ministry and leaders of the Mexican Jewish community. A former First Secretary of the Israel Embassy in Paris, Ambassador Schneerson also served in the Israel Embassy in Buenos Aires.
