A first edition of 6, 000 copies of a volume entitled “Israel’s Struggle for Peace,” published by the Israel Office of Information here, was nearly exhausted in the first few days after issuance, and a second printing was being considered, it was announced today.
The 187-page book, written by Consul Yaacov Morris, director of research and publications for Israel’s Office of Information here, includes net only vital historical material but also deals with current issues like the Arab refugee problem, Arab violations of the Armistice agreements, Israel’s immigrant absorption capacity, etc. The book is sold at $1. Many organizations have been ordering the book in large quantities, the Information Office stated.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
