German Police Officer Sentenced for Insulting Jew in Public Place

Josef Holzmann, a 34-year-old police officer, has been sentenced to three months’ imprisonment an charges of libel filed after he insulted a Jewish patron at a bar. He was accused of calling out to the patron: “They forgot to gas you but the Adenauer era will soon be past and then it will be your turn.”
