Considerable public interest has been demonstrated here in connection with a bill authorizing the establishment of a memorial to Albert Einstein in the District of Columbia. Senators Javits and Humphrey were the sponsors of the bill which was read twice and referred to the Senate Committee on Rules and Administration.

The design, by sculptor Robert Berks, shows the seated figure of Albert Einstein on a semi-circular bench, looking down into a reflecting pool which mirrors the heavens.
