George Rockwell, self-styled leader of the American Nazi party, changed his tactics today and appeared at his weekly rally without displaying any Nazi symbols. His troopers wore no uniforms and did not surround him as a bodyguard, as they had done in the past. No banners or armbands with swastikas were seen.
Rockwell, who was last Thursday released from the District of Columbia General Hospital after he was found to be sane, will face a trial this Wednesday on charges of disorderly conduct. He announced today that he will sue the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith as the alleged organizer of the riots against him on July 3rd for which he is charged with disorderly conduct.
