Jewish Agency Hears Report on Situation of the Jews in Katanga

The Jewish Agency executive, at a meeting today, heard a report on the situation of the Jews in Katanga and other parts of Congo. The report was presented by Rabbi Moshe Levi of Elisabethville who arrived here from Katanga several days ago to discuss aid for Jewish refugees, Rabbi Levi also reported at the meeting on the prospects of emigration of Katanga Jews to Israel.

Arych Levavi, the Israeli Ambassador who was ordered to leave Argentina, following the capture in Buenos Aires of the Nazi leader Adolf Eichmann, reported to the Jewish Agency executive on the situation of the Jews in Argentina and on the recent developments there in connection with the Eichmann affair.
