Germany to Pay $20, 000, 000 Compensation to Nazi Victims in Belgium

West Germany will pay to Belgium 80, 000, 000 Deutsche-marks ($20, 000, 000) in compensation to victims of the Nazi occupation of Belgium.

A spokesman for the Foreign Office here announced today that long-pending negotiations for a restitution treaty have been completed between Belgium and the Federal Republic of Germany. The treaty will be signed soon, the spokesman said.
