Jews in Hamburg Open Synagogue; All Synagogues Were Destroyed by Nazis

The Jewish community in Hamburg celebrated today the opening of the first synagogue built since Hitler destroyed the synagogues in 1938. A Jewish spokesman said that there were 1,400 Jews in Hamburg today, compared with 27,000 in 1933.
