Students in Turkey Request Minorities to Speak Turkish in Public

Through posters and publicity in the press, the National Union of Turkish Students, supported by a number of Turkish professional groups, today launched a country-wide campaign to get peoples of minority groups in this country to speak Turkish in public. The campaign affects Jews living in Turkey. Many of the older generation of Jews speak either Ladino or French.
