Police authorities today continued investigating two acts of religious desecration committed last weekend, when swastikas were found painted on the walls of Ohev Sholem Congregation here and on four tombstones in a section of Wildwood Cemetery.
The section of the cemetery where the stones were desecrated is used as burial grounds by Temple Beth Hasholom, a Reform congregation here. Synagogue and police officials believe the acts were committed by vandals, and were not necessarily manifestations of religious bigotry.
