The Rev. Edward Ellison, of Washington, pastor of the church usually attended in Washington by President Eisenhower, was quoted in the Arab press today as having made strong, anti-Israeli statements before leaving Amman.

Dr. Ellison visited the Jordanian capital as a member of a group representing the “American Friends of the Middle East.” He was quoted as saying: “Upon our return, we will do our best to defend your position, particularly in your fight against Israel.”
