The Mapai list is headed by 12 leaders, starting with Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion; Zalman Salazar, a member of the Jewish Agency executive; and Moshe Sharett, former Prime Minister and ex-Foreign Minister. After the twelve, 74 others are listed in alphabetical order. In addition, there are nine Mapai candidates who must be elected as Zionists holding life tenure.
