Crown Prince Moulay Hassan today named Dr. Leon Benzaquen, prominent Jewish leader in Morocco, and a Minister in the first Moroccan Government, to membership in the Supreme Council of the Order of Medicine.
Dr. Benzaquen has been steering clear of politics since he left the Government. Today’s appointment is regarded here as a mark of confidence in the physician’s professional status as well as recognition of his civic services to the country.
