Admiral Louis Kahn, vice-president of the Alliance Israelite Universelle, was reported today to have discussed with Moroccan authorities the situation of Jewish schools maintained by the Alliance in Morocco.
Admiral Kahn came to Morocco on a brief visit to preside at a memorial meeting for Ruben Tajoury, former head of the Alliance in Morocco. The meeting was attended by many leading Moroccan Jews, including the Grand Rabbis who serve as president and vice-president of the Casablanca Rabbinical Court.Admiral Kahn outlined at the meeting the work of the Alliance in various parts of the world.
