The cornerstone for a pilot plant for desalination of sea water at Eilat will be laid at the end of March, Mordechai Bentov, the Development Minister, informed President Ben-Zvi today in inviting him to attend.
The plant will be based on the process developed by Alexander Zarchin, the former Soviet scientist.
