Abraham Morewski, the dean of the Yiddish theatre in Poland, has been awarded the Commander’s Cross of the Order of the Rebirth of Poland in recognition of his theatrical achievements, it was reported here today from Warsaw.
The citation was conferred by the State Council of the Government of Poland during ceremonies at the Yiddish Sate Theatre on the occasion of Mr. Morewski’s 75th birthday.
