Fifty-four percent of all Israeli families now own electric refrigerators, two-thirds have gas stoves and half have electric hot water supplies, figures released today by the Central Bureau of Statistics indicated.
Other data indicated that urban wage and salary earners spent during 1960 an average of 27 percent more than they did three years previously, adjusted for price changes. The bureau reported that average family expenditures on food remained static but more was spent on furniture and household utensils.
