An appeal to Morocco’s permanent representative at the United Nations, Dr. El Medhi ben Aboud, expressing the hopes of the Canadian Jewish community that Morocco will treat its Jews with fairness, was sent today by Samuel Bronfman, president of the Canadian Jewish Congress.

Pointing out in his letter that Morocco’s late King Mohammed V had declared himself in favor of equal treatment for Moroccan Jews, Mr. Bronfman asked the United Nations representative to relay the message to his country’s new King, Hassan II.
