Download PDF for this date

Twenty Jews allegedly trying to emigrate to Israel were arrested by Moroccan police, April 15, at Melilla, in Northern Morocco, according to a report printed here today by Al Alam, the newspaper organ of the Istiqlal Party.

The paper demanded that the Government take “severe measures to punish the guilty,” and that Morocco prosecute “the leaders of Zionism.” Al Alam also stated that the leader of the arrested group of Jews had escaped arrest.
